Description

Cuda is a high energy, happy boy! He needs a home where the owners have plenty of time to play and meet his energetic needs - unfortunately this is not something we have been able to give him recently. He has very minimal traning so needs experienced owners confident with larger dogs. He can be reactive around other dogs and would need to be the only dog in the home. He is no longer very well socialised this regressed a lot during lockdown. Prior to this Cuda has engaged well with other dogs and would hopefully be able to get back to this with proper training and support. Cuda has never snapped or been reactive towards people and adapted well to us having a baby (now a toddler with no issues!) Can become unsettled and loud unpredicted cries from the baby/child but follows commands when directed to his 'safe place' in the home. Cuda is not crate trained and does not like being in a crate however this is not something we've ever needed so may be something that could be explored. Since lockdown, Cuda has always been taken to a private dog walking field where he is the only dog and cannot leave the area so is able to be off lead the whole time - because of this he no longer walks very well on a lead. However, prior to this Cuda was always walked with a lead and harness in public spaces so would hopefully revert back to happily walking on a lead with some consistent training. Cuda responds to very basic commands including; - Sit - Paw - Outside (refers to garden) - In (direction to certain area/room) - Wait (for food or toy e.g. to be thrown) - No - Down (from furniture or jumping at people/things) Cuda does not become protective or obsessive around food, will try to take food if there is opportinity but will follow commands sit and wait or no if the food simply isnt for him. Due to a change in home and work circumstances we simply do not have the time or resources he needs to thrive so it's time for him to find a new home where he can have a better quality of life.
