Luna – 5-Year-Old Belgian Malinois Seeking an Experienced Home Luna is a beautiful 5-year-old Belgian Malinois looking for a very special home. This is an incredibly difficult decision, but after years of trying to make things work, I have accepted that I can no longer provide the environment she needs to truly thrive. Luna originally came to me after being found as a stray. Since then she has been a much-loved member of the family. She is affectionate, loyal and a genuinely lovely dog, but she does have significant anxiety and would benefit from an experienced owner, ideally someone familiar with the Malinois breed. She struggles in busy environments and can be very vocal when anxious. She also has a history of escaping if given the opportunity, so she will require a secure home and someone committed to managing her needs. Interestingly, Luna is often better off lead than on lead and can become more anxious when restrained. An experienced handler may be able to continue working on this and build her confidence further. Over the years I have explored every option available, including contacting charities and rescue organisations. Unfortunately, Luna does not cope well in kennel environments and no suitable rescue placement has been found. Because of this, I am hoping to find the right home for her privately where she can transition directly into family life. I am not looking for a quick rehoming. I am looking for the right person—someone patient, understanding and committed to giving Luna the stability and support she deserves. This decision comes from wanting the very best for her. She deserves a home where her needs can be fully met and where she can enjoy the happy, secure life she deserves.
