Description
It's with a heavy heart that we are looking to rehome our beloved dachshund due to a change in our circumstances.
Slinky is a 1 year 5 month old male dachshund, he is very loving & affectionate.
He is good with older children as he's been with my 9 year old son, however never been round small children.
Will need someone who has had dachshunds previously and understands their needs & traits.
He's very reactive towards other dogs so a home with no other dogs or cats would be ideal.
Due to us expecting a new baby in september we have decided it wouldn't be fair on Slinky as he currently sleeps in bed with us and with a new baby that just wouldn't be possible. I don't want him feeling pushed out and not get the attention he needs and deserves.
He will come with his food bowls, harness, coat, leads, a large & a small crate, toys & food.
This hasn't been an easy decision to make but it's for the best for all of us.

Not the best choice for first time owners because Dachshunds often have a mind of their own
Care must be taken with puppies because they must not be allowed to jump up or down from anywhere because it could damage their backs and joints
They are prone to putting on too much weight if not given enough daily exercise
