We are looking for a very special, permanent home for our beautiful French Bulldog, Penny. Penny is 3 years old, fully vaccinated and has always been in excellent health. We have had her since she was just 2 months old, so she has been part of our family almost her entire life. She is a lovely, funny little character and, once she knows and trusts you, she is incredibly affectionate, loving and devoted. She is especially loving with our 9-year-old son and loves being close to her family. Penny absolutely loves playing with a ball — honestly, she could give Ronaldo a run for his money! She has so much personality and can be very playful and entertaining. We want to be completely honest about the type of home Penny needs so that we can find the right match for her. Penny is not friendly with other animals, so she must be the only pet in the home. A home without other dogs, cats or pets is essential. She is also very territorial in her own home when meeting new people. When somebody unfamiliar comes into the house, she will bark and can be very wary at first. Because of this, we will not allow Penny to leave with somebody after just one meeting. Anyone genuinely interested in giving Penny a home will need to visit her a couple of times so that she has the opportunity to get to know them gradually and feel comfortable with them. Once Penny accepts and trusts someone, her personality completely changes and she becomes an extremely affectionate, loving and loyal little dog. We are not looking to rehome her quickly or to just anyone. Finding the right person or family is much more important to us. Her ideal new owner would be someone patient, calm and confident with dogs, preferably with experience of French Bulldogs or dogs that can be territorial. They must understand that Penny needs time and gentle introductions rather than expecting her to immediately accept a stranger. This is a very difficult decision for us and Penny is a much-loved member of our family. Unfortunately, due to a major change in our circumstances and our plans to move abroad, we need to find her a new permanent home. We would like to stay in contact during the introduction process and make sure that both Penny and her new owner are completely comfortable before any final decision is made. Please only contact us if you are genuinely interested, have no other pets and are happy to take the time to meet Penny properly. We are looking for the right home for Penny — somewhere safe, stable and loving where she can be someone’s very special companion for the rest of her life.
