Willow is a beautiful 3-year-old chocolate Labrador who is KC registered and from a good line. She is a much-loved member of our family, but due to a significant change in our family circumstances, we have had to make the heartbreaking decision to find her a new home. We simply no longer have the time or space that Willow deserves. This is not a decision we have taken lightly, and finding her the right home is incredibly important to us. Willow is an affectionate, loving and very sweet girl. She has so much love to give and deserves a permanent home where she will have plenty of company, attention, exercise and, most importantly, love. 🐶 Willow's health She has regular 6-monthly vet checks. She is fully up to date with her vaccinations. She is up to date with flea and worm treatments. She is not currently spayed. ❤️ Willow's personality Willow is a bundle of joy with lots of energy. She is used to living with other dogs and children and has grown up around children ranging from 1 to 14 years old. She absolutely loves being outdoors and enjoys exploring all the different smells. Her recall is generally pretty good, although, like any Labrador, she can become very excited and distracted when out exploring. She does pull on walks, particularly when she is excited, so we normally use a harness with her, which does help. This is something we believe a new owner could make great progress with given the time and consistency. She would ideally suit an active home where she can have two good walks a day, or somewhere with safe outdoor space where she can get plenty of exercise and stimulation. 🏡 Home life Willow is accustomed to being crated at night and spending time in her run during the day. However, this is not something we want for her long-term. We would love to find her a home where she can have plenty of human company during the day and the freedom to be part of family life. She does not mess in her bed or crate and is generally house trained in this respect. We do want to be completely honest about one of Willow's challenges: she can chew! She needs plenty of stimulation, toys and appropriate chews/bones. At present, we still need to crate her when she is unsupervised in the house because of this. We wish we had the time to work on this with her properly, but unfortunately our circumstances mean that we don't. We hope her new owners will have the time and patience to continue working with her and help her grow out of this behaviour. Willow also loves digging in mud, so any garden or outdoor space would need to be secure and her digging may need some supervision! 😂 🏠 The right home We are looking for a permanent, loving home where Willow will be treated as part of the family and given the time, exercise, attention and stimulation she deserves. We are absolutely not looking to simply pass her on to the first person who enquires. Willow's welfare comes first, and we want to make sure that she and her new family are the right fit for one another. She is not spayed, and we are particularly keen to ensure that she is not taken advantage of for breeding. Her new home will need to be one we are completely comfortable with. 💕 Viewing & rehoming Viewings and a meet-and-greet will be essential. We want potential owners to meet Willow, spend time with her and make sure there is a genuine connection. Equally, we need to feel confident that we are making the right decision for her future. We are asking £1000 for Willow. We feel that asking a reasonable rehoming fee is appropriate and helps ensure that enquiries are from people who genuinely want to provide her with a loving, permanent home. This is an incredibly difficult decision for our family. Willow is a wonderful dog, and all we want is to find her the loving forever home she deserves. Please only enquire if you are genuinely in a position to give Willow the time, exercise, companionship and commitment she needs for the rest of her life. 🐾❤️
