We have some baby rats available from our breeding programmes including a few pocket sized dwarf rats. Our full size rats are £20 each. The dwarfs are £35 each. Unexpectedly (and to our horror as we do not believe in breeding them) in of our new pairings our rats produced some hairless babies. We have one full sized and one dwarf hairless baby available. The photos show a number of the rats we have for sale. Please contact us for photos and details of available rats. Our dwarfs are a genetic mutation where the rats grow between 25 and 40% of normal size. They are much less prone to cancers than full size rats and live longer on average. Dwarf rats cannot be kept with full sized rats due to their small size and need cages with narrower bar spacings of a maximum of 9mm. We do sometimes have older retired rats available for a retirement home. Please contact us if you might be looking for one to go with a bereaved or lone rat. Rats can only be sold in pairs or larger groups unless you already have a rat/or rats which they will be going to live with. Please note that baby full size rats also need narrower bars than adults. We would always recommend bar spacings of a maximum of 1.6mm for adult rats but that for babies you start with a cage with bar spacings of 1cm or less until they are more grown. All our babies come with breeders certificates, information leaflet and handover food. Collection from Bradway in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. Payment by bank transfer is preferred.
