Finding the right home for our much-loved girl ❤️ This is an incredibly difficult decision for our family, and we are looking for the very best home for our beautiful 4-year-old dachshund. She is deeply loved, but unfortunately she no longer gets along with our elderly dog, and after trying everything we can, we've had to accept that she would be happier as the only dog in the home. She is an extremely affectionate, loving little girl who adores cuddles and would happily spend all day curled up on your lap. She thrives on one-to-one attention and deserves a home where she can be someone's whole world. She must be the only pet in the home and is not suitable for a home with children. Although she has lived with our older dog, she does not like other dogs, especially when on the lead. We are often asked whether she could learn to accept another dog with slow introductions, but after extensive attempts, the honest answer is no. She needs a home where she won't have to share her space with other dogs. She is house-trained, although if left alone for longer periods she may occasionally have an accident or leave a "protest poo." Like many dachshunds, she also enjoys keeping an eye on the world and isn't shy about barking at things she sees through the window. She is 4 years old, microchipped, and not spayed. She really is a wonderful little dog with so much love to give, and in the right home she will make an incredibly loyal and devoted companion. Her welfare is our absolute priority, so we will be asking questions and taking our time to ensure she goes to the right home. Please don't be offended—we simply want to find the perfect match for this very special girl.
