Description

We are regretfully looking for a new home for our gorgeous GSD, Xena. She is a fantastic dog, friendly, fully house trained, can be left alone for periods with no problem, never chewed anything apart from her own toys, amazing with children, fantastic recall, easy going, good in the car, all round just a brilliant dog. She has been everywhere with us, away for weekends camping both in tents and in our caravan, to festivals, in hotels and even came to our wedding. She is happy to go anywhere you can take her. Our reason for rehoming her is purely because we want the best for her, and don’t feel that we are giving her that. We go away frequently due to family and work commitments and she is left with family members who look after her basic needs, but she isn’t getting the love, attention and dedication that she deserves. It isn’t fair on her and we want her to have the best life possible. We will only let her go to a home we can be sure will look after her and spoil her like she should be. She doesn’t have many bad points other than if a cat or bird is on the fence in the garden, she will chase it, however, when she sees birds etc when out walking she doesn’t bother with them. Her only other downfall is she will bark at other dogs when she is on her lead. She is fine off lead, and gets on with dogs well then, but for some reason she barks on her lead. She is excitable when first meeting people, but calms down quickly. She will happily just chill out with you and doesn’t demand constant attention but if you’re happy to, then she will be more than happy to play fetch all day long. We have been so lucky to have such an incredible dog and this is why we want to make sure we are doing what is best for her.
