Description

It’s with a very heavy heart that we’ve decided to rehome our amazing dog Zeke. Two and a half year old male German shepherd, working line, both parents were farm dogs and he clearly has that instinct in him. He is not suited to life as a house pet, he needs a job and a purpose, ideally on a farm or with livestock or as a proper working or protection dog. He is loyal and loving once bonded, wonderful with our baby, but he has not had the training, socialization, or exercise he needs living with us, and he is reactive toward unfamiliar dogs and people as a result. He does form strong bonds with dogs he knows well. Looking for an experienced handler who understands working line shepherds and can give him the role and structure he is clearly built for. Happy to answer questions and arrange a visit.
