Description
Here is my 2-year-old female Rottweiler, Nova. She is the most precious, gentle soul in the world. She has no bite history and has never shown aggression towards people. She is not at fault in any way for the reason behind her rehoming.
Nova has a history of abuse. I got her when she was around 6 months old, and she came to me as a frightened little girl. I started noticing signs of what she may have been through. She just wanted love but was so scared of the world around her. She has opened up to me so much since then, but she is still a nervous and timid dog. She takes a little time to warm up to new people, but once she does, she’s all over you like a giant lap dog!
Her obedience training has been really good. She is incredibly clever and a quick learner.
She isn’t spayed, but I have absolutely no intention of breeding her and would want this respected.
She hasn’t had a huge amount of socialisation with other dogs. She isn’t aggressive towards them but can be quite boisterous and plays very roughly. She has never been around cats, so I can’t say how she would react, although I imagine she may be nervous.
The reason for rehoming is genuinely heartbreaking for me. I have a 4-month-old baby and a 3-year-old, and I’m really struggling mentally and physically postpartum. I’ve looked into fostering options, but unfortunately, I haven’t been able to find anything available.
Nova has done absolutely nothing wrong. This decision isn’t because of her. I love her enough to recognise that she deserves a life where she can have the time, attention and love she needs, and unfortunately, I can’t give her everything she deserves right now.
This is not a decision I’ve made lightly, and I want nothing more than to find her a loving, patient home where she can continue to grow in confidence and be loved as much as she deserves. I will be very particular about who she goes to
