Description

My girl is looking for a new home . Ive have had her from 12weeks old . Darcy just turned 8 This month. I’m sure you are wondering why after 8 years ? Well it’s down to my declining health. I have arthritis of the neck and spine and I have been finding my mobility lessening month after month. Darcy has been suffering i used to go to the beach and trails and now she is lucky to get a walk around the block every day. It’s ok for my 2 chihuahuas but she has started looking so sad. I can’t lift her in and out the bath anymore so if I do get out I absolutely dread her getting muddy. Darcy as a dog has no behavioural issues. She barks at the doorbell, meets other dogs with a wagging tail, she is peaceful and calm. Because I can’t take her on long walks anymore she has started to put on weight , nothing major but I believe 2 walks a day would fix it . She is scared of hair clippers or anything that sounds like a staple gun . I think she has carried this forward from having the chip in her neck as a puppy. I have never tried her with a cat so I can’t comment on that , I do know she wants to chase them if she sees them on her walks. Darcy saw the vet around 6mths ago as she had developed a rear left limp after chasing her ball . We worried that it wouldn’t get better on its own but within a month of no ball and gentle walks I’m pleased to say she’s back to normal. She would love a home with small children unfortunately we don’t have any but when she’s out and about she gets a massively wagging tail .
