Winston – Italian Greyhound looking for a loving new home 🤍
It’s with a heavy heart that I’m looking to rehome Winston, my Italian Greyhound.
This hasn’t been an easy decision, but I’ve come to realise that our home environment isn’t necessarily the best fit for his personality and needs. I want to find him a home where he can really thrive and receive the attention he deserves.
Winston is an incredibly affectionate, playful and loving dog who absolutely adores people. He’s very enthusiastic about attention and loves nothing more than being close to someone.
He does have a particularly excitable personality and can be extremely jumpy, especially when greeting people or wanting affection. He currently lives with me and my five-year-old daughter, and although he’s never shown any aggression or bitten anyone, his constant jumping and intensity can sometimes be overwhelming for her.
For this reason, I feel he’d be better suited to an adult-only home or one with older, dog-confident children who wouldn’t be unsettled by his enthusiasm.
Winston needs someone who understands his breed, can offer him plenty of affection and attention, and has the time and patience to help him manage his excitement.
He’s a lovely little dog with so much personality, but I think he’d be happier in a home where his needs and energy levels are a better match for the household.
Finding the right home is far more important to me than finding one quickly, and I’ll be taking my time to make sure he’s going somewhere he’ll be loved and properly cared for.
