🐾 Meet Vika — a young, beautiful girl of around 1 year old, medium-small in size, with striking mismatched eyes and a huge love for other dogs and people. Vika arrived in the UK just five days ago and went straight into a foster-to-adopt home. Sadly, it has quickly become clear that this environment is not the right match for her — because her playful, social nature clashes with a very calm, anxious resident dog. So Vika been moved to a new Foster with 5 other dogs and really enjoy their company

💔 Rescue Story
Vika’s life began at the end of a chain. Kept by an elderly man, she spent her puppyhood tethered, alone, with little stimulation and no freedom. When rescuers finally freed her, Vika didn’t show fear or aggression — she showed love. She leaned into people, seeking connection and reassurance, forgiving everything she had endured.
After rescue, she grew up in foster care in Ukraine, learning to live in a home, trust humans, and interact kindly with other dogs. She arrived in the UK full of hope, ready for her forever family — but the first placement simply wasn’t the right environment for her needs.
🐾 More About Vika (from her current foster-to-adopt home)
Vika is extremely social with dogs and genuinely loves their company. She wants to play, interact, and engage — and when paired with a dog who enjoys that, she will thrive. Unfortunately, the resident dog in her current home is very calm, anxious, and needs a lot of space, especially in the evenings. While they initially coexisted well, as days passed the mismatch became clear.
Vika tries repeatedly to initiate play, believing it’s a game. When redirected, she doesn’t understand rejection yet and becomes frustrated. This in turn increases the other dog’s anxiety, especially at night, and creates a cycle that is unfair to both dogs.
Her only “fault” is that she loves too much, plays too much, and wants connection — and she needs guidance, space, and the right canine match to learn balance.
🏡 Ideal Family
Vika needs a home that understands young, playful dogs and is willing to give her time to settle properly. She would make a great addition to a confident, playful, well-balanced dog who enjoys interaction.
She is not suited to a home with a very anxious or elderly resident dog who needs lots of space. Vika needs room to play, learn social cues — not constant correction or rejection. A home where someone is around most of the time, and where decompression is prioritised, will allow her to truly shine.
💞 Vika is not “too much” — she is simply a young dog who hasn’t yet been given the right environment to succeed. With understanding, routine, and the right match, she will grow into a deeply loyal, joyful companion who gives her whole heart.
🩺 Health Information
Vika is fully healthy. Spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. All dogs are C.Brucella tested before travel (owners receive a licensed laboratory test certificate).
