Known as the "King of Terriers," the Airedale boasts of being the largest of the terrier breeds. These dogs are also called Bingley Terrier, and Waterside Terrier. This elegant dog originated in Great Britain and was originally bred in Yorkshire. It is believed that he got his name when he competed in the Airedale Show, an event where many "water dogs" used to be shown.
