They can have rough or smooth coats and are known for being alert, lively terriers who are never happier than when they are outside chasing a new scent. Therefore, Parson Terriers is not the best choice for people who live in apartments or lead a more sedentary life, but is a very good choice for anyone who lives in a rural setting with large, secure gardens where their dogs can run around whenever they can.
