Rough Collies are generally not aggressive by nature and are known for their gentle, friendly, and affectionate temperament. They form strong bonds with their families and typically do not exhibit biting or aggressive behaviour, especially when properly socialised and trained. Although one isolated study suggested some aggression in the breed, the vast majority of expert sources agree that Rough Collies are calm and well-mannered dogs.
