This beloved family and companion dog comes in multiple generations to suit different needs: F1 Goldendoodles are a 50/50 first-generation cross with variable coat types (straight, wavy, or curly) and unpredictable shedding, making them less reliable for allergies. F1B Goldendoodles (75% Poodle, 25% Golden Retriever) offer curlier, wavy, low-shedding coats ideal for allergy sufferers. F1BB Goldendoodles (87.5% Poodle) provide the most hypoallergenic, non-shedding coats with very curly textures and minimal dander.
