I’ve been keeping birds since I was 15 and I’m 53 now . All my birds have routine mite and worm treatment which is given on the 1st and 2nd day of each month , lugols 12% iodine twice a week in their water as this stops them from developing avian goiter and also a lack of iodine can cause infertility. My birds have chop twice a week which they have their vitamins added to it , at present all my birds are housed inside my bird shed due to the mandatory housing of captive birds due to the increased rise in avian influenza .
