Meet Mathew

Mathew & Susan Buckley, would like to introduce ourselves. We have owned Japanese Akita Inu's since 2006. Our Matsukita Kennels was established in 2011. We pride ourselves on holding breed history with our 1st Male & Female to achieve the KENNEL CLUB GOOD CITIZEN DOG SCHEME Gold award, and our first home bred IRISH CHAMPION in 2025. We are active committee members, working alongside people that love this great breed as much as we do, helping to protect and maintain the look and style of the Japanese Akita Inu, that is so close to all of our harts. When we are breeding our main targets are Health, Construction, breed type and temperament. Studying blood lines that will benefit the breed in the future, with the aim to keep the unique look and style, and that the same-time improve overall health. We only use dogs that have met all of our Health breed requirements. We devote a lot of time and effort to our puppies, in getting them prepared for their new forever loving home. We also provide a life long support through out your dog's life time, with tips and advice whenever it is needed.
