A little bit about me in my own words
Leesa said she can’t stop thinking about
me. She’s a rescuer so that’s normal but
though it mostly stems from the first time
she met me. I was in an enclosure with a
little lad called ‘Banjo’ & lots of other small
adult dogs (I get on with medium & bigger
too) & Leesa was mainly focusing on banjo
for his showcase. I wanted attention too as
I’m harder to notice - because I wasn’t as
bouncy and exuberant as the others. I was
just calmly waiting to the side. When I tried
to get banjo to give me a chance the
resident vet decided I was a hindrance to
the proceedings and her male worker
moved me to another enclosure. I suppose
when you’re busy it’s easier this way but my
face was a picture. At first I thought I was
going for a walk & I was all waggy tailed &
such a good girl but when I realised I was
just being moved I became a little afraid.
Then I dug in a bit & once I was put in there,
which with a single gate is always quite
forceful, I just sat and looked dejected. I
didn’t know any if the new bigger dogs
around me. That image has stayed with
Leesa & she decided then & there that she
would try to save me. I’m at risk you see.

Perhaps that chain of events will change the
course of my future. I’d like to think my
disappointment that day will manifest my
special person & at last I can sleep in a bed.
I’ve never had that. I’ll be happy to go for
walks, socialise in dog friendly cafes & curl
up of a night on the sofa with one person, a
family or couple & your resident animals if
you have any. I’m perfectly fine as a single
living dog & whilst I get on with my own
kind & enjoy their company I would be an
amazing companion for anyone just wanting
one pet. I’m a bonding girl through &
through. Will you make my day & choose me
& turn that imprint for Leesa into
happiness?
