Description

Ozzie is ready to settle into a loving permanent home with a good understanding of cats, where he can be doted on as the only pet. He is a pedigree snow lynx bengal with blue eyes. Please get in touch to tell us more about you and your home for Ozzie. His information is below but I’m also happy to answer any further questions you have. If you’ve already messaged and I didn’t reply please do get in touch again - I paused the ad to manage enquiries and in doing so lost some message threads. He is extremely sweet and playful, particularly loving feather wands and squeaky mice. He has a deep, cheerful purr and huge adoring eyes which you’ll hear and see the most of when gets neck scratches! He settles quickly in new places and enjoys meeting new people - especially if they have food for him. He also enjoys food puzzle toys. He loves to be stroked and get head/chin scratches and likes chasing butterflies in the garden, will gladly wriggle between us to get cosy and watch films in the evening. He loves to snuggle and is super affectionate. He has even been learning to walk on a harness! Ozzie also enjoys an occasional catnip roll-around and will zip around the house singing afterwards. He knows his name and perks his ears up adorably when you call. He is fully litter trained and not picky about the type of litter used as long as it not scented. He is happy using open boxes, covered boxes without doors, and Litter Robots. He doesn’t use covered boxes with doors as he can’t quite work out the door! He has a new covered litterbox to go with him. He has not scratched our walls or furniture at all and he never sprays or goes outside his litter box. Like many cats he is interested in pushing items on tables! However, we can supply fixing wax to secure ornaments etc. He will also try to get into your bathroom bin to steal dirty tissues if you have a small one, so we recommend a lidded pedal bin with child locks - we have spare child locks, as well as spare window locks so he can’t wriggle out of open windows. He likes stealing pens and pencils to play with so best to keep these out of his way! He is so well-behaved in the garden too and doesn’t dig anything up, and whilst he runs after the birds he doesn’t try to catch them. He’s definitely needs a tall cat tree inside as he loves to perch up high and watch the world go by. He enjoys climbing and I think he could enjoy having climbing cat furniture e.g. wall mounted cat shelves. He’s eating Royal Canin Gastrointestinal dry food as our other cats have it, but he’s happy with any small/kitten biscuit or pillow/filled biscuit. He also has Purina Gourmet Perle wet food (2 tins/pouches split into two meals a day). He also enjoys Lick-e-Lix and Dreamies as a treat. He will come with a supply of food and treats, an automatic feeder, and food dishes. He stays hydrated, drinking plenty of water compared to most other cats, and if you leave the tap running he will play with water too - it really does fascinate him! He has a new drinking fountain to go with him too. He had his vaccine boosters and health check, plus flea/tick/worm preventative, in August, and he is fit and healthy. He has been neutered (testes removed & scrotum intact) and he is microchipped. We can provide his vaccination record and microchip information. He is quite sneezy and can get snotty when he sneezes but this doesn’t otherwise affect his health and wellbeing. We do have his TICA registration papers from his breeder and health test results (clear) for his parents, through we’ve never arranged for the papers to be sent off for full registration as we had no plans to breed or show him. These papers will be provided. He has never been allowed to roam and therefore doesn’t have any road sense. As he’s also keen to fight other cats, he is best suited to indoor life with secure supervised garden access. We adopted Ozzie 4 months ago from a sad situation where he wasn’t being cared for. The way he has flourished has been a pleasure to watch and it’s been so hard to decide to rehome him because he is just so much fun to live with and gives the best cuddles! Whilst he has transformed into the perfect little companion for us and adores every person who fusses him, he is territorial and tries to fight our other cats, who are very stressed by this. We therefore made the difficult decision to find him a single-animal home where he will be as happy and comfortable as possible and so our existing cats can relax again. If you bring him home, we will be sending him with his favourite blanket and his toys as well as new food mats, dishes, drinking fountain, automatic feeder, bed, covered litter box, vaccine book, vet record, and TICA papers. We can also help you cat-proof by providing window restrictors, child locks and display wax for securing any of your ornaments. I have so many photos and videos of him so let me know if you want to see more!
