Description

Ozzie is ready to settle into a loving forever home where he can be doted on as the only cat. He is a pedigree snow lynx bengal with blue eyes. He is extremely sweet and playful, particularly loving feather wands and squeaky mice. He has a deep, cheerful purr and huge adoring eyes which you’ll hear and see the most of when gets neck scratches! He settles quickly in new places and enjoys meeting new people - especially if they have food for him. He also enjoys food puzzle toys. He loves to be stroked and get head/chin scratches and likes chasing butterflies in the garden, will gladly wriggle between us to get cosy and watch films in the evening. He has even been learning to walk on a harness! Ozzie also enjoys an occasional catnip roll-around and will zip around the house singing afterwards. He greets you with excitement and affection as soon as you come home (we’re going to miss his lovely cuddles). He is fully litter trained and not picky about the type of litter used. He has not scratched our walls or furniture and we have trained him out of his previous interest in pushing ornaments or drinking glasses. He is well-behaved in the garden too and doesn’t dig anything up, and whilst he runs after the birds he doesn’t try to catch them. He’s definitely needs a tall cat tree inside as he loves to perch up high and watch the world go by. He’s eating Royal Canin Gastrointestinal dry food (3/8 of a cup split into three meals a day) and a mix of Lily’s Kitchen Shredded Fillets and Purina Gourmet Perle wet food (2 tins/pouches split into two meals a day). This diet has benefitted his coat and digestion. He also enjoys Lick-e-Lix and Dreamies as a treat. He does not like mussels but otherwise enjoys seafood and meat equally. He stays hydrated, drinking plenty of water compared to most other cats, and if you leave the tap running he will play with water too - it really does fascinate him! Next week, Ozzie will be having his vaccine boosters (Nobivac Trio & FELV) and annual health check. He has been neutered (testes removed & scrotum intact) and he is microchipped. He last had a checkup in May when he was neutered and was found to be fit and well. We do have his TICA registration papers from his breeder and heart health test results (clear) for his parents, through we’ve never arranged for the papers to be sent off for full registration as we had no plans to breed or show him. These papers will be provided. He has never been allowed to roam and therefore doesn’t have any road sense. He does really love to go outside though and would benefit from a secure garden or enclosed balcony to play in, or further harness training for regular walks. We adopted Ozzie 3 months ago from a sad situation where he wasn’t being cared for. The way he has flourished has been a pleasure to watch. Whilst he has transformed into the perfect little companion for us, he is territorial and can’t adjust to living with our existing cats, which is why we have made the difficult decision to find him a more fitting single-cat home where he will be as happy and comfortable as possible. If you bring him home, we will be sending him with his favourite blanket and his favourite toys and treats. We’re looking for a permanent home for Ozzie where he will have some secure or supervised outdoor access, pet insurance, and can enjoy being spoiled and played with lots.
