Description

Colony of 5 rubber ducky isopods. For those not already familiar with Cubaris 'rubber ducky' isopods allow me to explain, they look kinda like rubber ducks, they'll cost you a kidney, they're yellow, they're mostly just chillin' doing bug stuff to be honest with you. They're actually crustaceans not bugs but you probably already know that if you're remortgaging your house and selling your kidneys to buy some. Keep them between 20 and 30 degrees celcius, don't let them dry out, make sure they have nice premium dirt and feed them a variety of vegetables like sweet potato, zucchini, carrot, etc. They're also very fond of protein sources like Shrimp or fish pellets. it can take 6-12 months for them to get fully established in a new enviorment so let them hide and don't disturb them for a while and if you did everything right they'll start doing all the bug stuff i told you about. I sell juvenile isopods whenever possible, as they’re more adaptable and resilient during transit. Younger isopods adjust more easily to new environments and are less prone to stress-related issues compared to older, larger isopods. Cubaris 'Rubber ducky' isopod - Care Basics Temperature: 20–30°C Humidity: Requires a humid microclimate with a moist area and a dry area to retreat to Substrate: Deep, nutrient-rich substrate (coco coir, leaf litter, sphagnum moss, and calcium source) Diet: Feed a mix of vegetables (e.g. sweet potato, carrot, zucchini) and protein (e.g. shrimp pellets, fish flakes) Behaviour: Shy at first — allow several months to settle without frequent disturbance More info: https://www.cepaea.com/post/cubaris-rubber-ducky-isopods-the-ultimate-guide
