🐶 Meet Bulochka – which means “bun” in Ukrainian, and she truly is just as soft and warm. A 9-month-old upper-medium-sized girl, Bulochka is calm beyond her age, full of grace and natural gentleness. With her soulful eyes and steady temperament, she’s a quiet treasure waiting to be discovered.

💔 Rescue Story
🐶 Bulochka was born into combat chaos, in the heart of a war zone. Her mum—a purebred German Shepherd—was discovered by soldiers near the rubble of a bombed-out home. It was December, bitter cold, and several of the pups had already frozen to death. But three survived—Koby, Moti, and Bulochka. They were taken in by the artillery brigade and spent their first weeks sleeping beneath camouflage nets, surrounded by the sounds of war. In January, they were transported to safety in Western Ukraine, and now wait for their true second chance. While their mum remained behind to serve as a military companion dog, the pups now hope to find peace and love in a home of their own.
🐾 More About Bulochka
🐶 Bulochka is the calmest and most composed of her siblings. She carries all the best qualities of her German Shepherd mum—she’s incredibly intelligent, quick to learn and understand, and follows instructions with quiet pride. She’s naturally balanced, not pushy or anxious, and has a gift for sensing the mood of the room, often simply lying quietly nearby with calm companionship.
🐶 She is deeply loyal, and her gentle eyes follow you with a steady, loving gaze that says, “I’m here for you.” She approaches new people with soft, careful steps, always trusting and never demanding, simply hoping to be close. Her affectionate nature is matched by a quiet confidence—she doesn’t bark for attention or push to be first in line for cuddles, but she will always be there, patiently waiting with her tail wagging softly.
🐶 Bulochka is also great with other dogs—social and gentle. She enjoys a good play but is not overwhelming. She would be an ideal friend to another calm and friendly dog or would thrive as a solo pet with someone who treasures companionship. She’s been wonderful with children at her foster home, but due to her size, she’s best suited to families with dog-savvy children aged 9+.

🐶 Bulochka would be happiest in a loving, peaceful home with access to a garden and someone around most of the time. She’s spent her life in quiet, countryside surroundings, so she would do best in a calm area—semi-rural or away from busy roads and loud noises. She needs to continue her training to be the perfect home pet, but her training is a pleasure, as she is a very smart girl.
