Full Advert Details

Great Irish sports allrounder, he is 15.3 and turned 8 years old in January Barry is a gelding. Been there and done the lot from Hunting, XC, fun rides, SJ and abit of low level dressage with my step mum he is a very genuine and honest horse, I’ve rode him bare back many times and he’s been no issue what so ever, he’s got a very bold jump and takes you straight to a jump he does jump 1m and cleare huge hedges and 5bar gates, water troffs. I think he would suit a home we’re he’s going out doing something quite a lot as he does love to have a job, for sale threw no fault of his own he’s just abit much for me and I want to mainly showjump now. He does stand to be groomed, clipped and picks all 4 feet up no problem he is good to take up but can sometimes move around abit if he’s not in constant work, he loads and travels fine and has never been an issue with me to load into a trailer and a horse box, he has great stable manners and is great to be led anywhere, good with children And dogs. He does hack out alone or in company but I’ve manly hacker alone with him and he can scope the hedges and gates but he is a full on hunting and XC machine and has never been any issues with traffic well I’ve had him but sometimes can need abit of reassurance when alone. He can get abit fresh when kept in a stable 24/7 as he does prefer living out and going out threw the day if stabled but he does stable fine. I feel selling him is the best thing for him as this boy is truly wasted with me, he does get rode or lunged nearly everyday but does need a little work in schooling as I’ve not done much but won’t take no time to bring him back as he really does love working.

He is now rode in a Kimblewick and is goin very well as in a gag he was to light in the mouth for me but recently had his teeth done on the 5th of April, I will be getting his shoes took off as I’m not doin much with him so I feel there’s no reason for him to have them on. I did buy him barefoot and he was fine I didn’t get him shod for about 4/5 months

He will come with his head collar and rugs

NOT A NOVICE RIDE as this is a very powerful and forward horse so NO CHILDREN he needs an experienced rider that understands him
VIEWINGS ARE A MUST as I want to make sure he’s goin to the right and suitable home
NO TIMEWASTERS please as truly is a heartbreaking sale I never thought this day would come but he’s to much for me and it’s not fair on him
Delivery available at buyers cost
