Not a racer. I got him as a pet.
I'm looking to rehome my male beauty homer Ludwig. He is absolutely desperate to be housed with a female companion and has started showing signs of stress in his current situation. I got him a few months ago with another male (as someone inexperienced with owning pigeons) and all seemed fine until he began picking on the other male. Even after seperation, he would coo and pace almost constantly where their cages were partitioned, stressing both birds out. Ludwig would immediately chase the other bird no matter what when they were out of their cage, making it extremely hard to bond with either of them.
I believe this behaviour would improve in an aviary setting or if he were able to ahve female companionship. Unfortunately am currently unable to take on any extra birds so I have no other choice than to rehome him to someone who cna provide him with the environment he needs. Please DM me with any questions, I want him to go to a good home!
I will ask for pictures of your enclosure before giving him away for my own comfort.
