Description

Dusty is a male fox‑red Labrador, born on 1st December 2025, and has been part of our family since he was 8 weeks old. He is a loving, kind and gentle pup, raised in a busy family home alongside our mini dachshund and our 11‑year‑old son, who has autism. Dusty has a naturally sweet temperament. He sleeps quietly on the floor all night without waking, has great recall, and responds well to “sit” and “come back.” He has been fully toilet trained for the last four months, though he has recently begun to copy some territorial weeing behaviours from our dachshund. He is otherwise a wonderful, affectionate family dog who loves being close to people. This is an extremely difficult decision for us, and one we have not made lightly. Unfortunately, due to our dachshund’s territorial behaviours, Dusty has become increasingly wary and anxious around him in the home. Our son has also struggled to adapt to a two‑dog household, and we feel it is no longer the right environment for Dusty’s wellbeing. We believe Dusty would be better suited to an adult or family home without another dog that may display territorial behaviours. He truly is a lovely family dog, and we want to ensure he can thrive in a calm, confident and supportive environment. Dusty is fully vaccinated and next vaccines are due in February 2027.
