*(D.O.B. 10.01.2020)*
Sweet Wallace was recently surrendered to us due to changes in his previous owners’ circumstances. He is a **beautiful, affectionate little boy** who bonds deeply with his people and just wants to feel safe and loved.

## 💛 About Wallace
Wallace is **microchipped, fully vaccinated, and now neutered**.
He has **no health issues**.
Wallace appears to be a small Poodle–Bichon mix, a combination known for producing affectionate, intelligent, people-oriented little dogs. These breeds are typically gentle and loving, with soft, fluffy coats and sensitive natures. Dogs of this type bond closely with their families and thrive in calm, reassuring homes where positive handling and routine help them feel safe and understood.
This lovely boy is:
• 🏡 **House-trained** (though he may “mark” a little at first as he settles)
• 🐾 **Friendly and sociable** with people and other dogs
• 🚶♂️ A **nice walker on the lead** — once you manage to get his harness on!
• 🧸 **Sweet, cuddly, and gentle** 99% of the time
He is a naturally sensitive dog who thrives with kindness, calm routines, and gentle handling.

⚠️ Wallace’s Sensitivity & Handling Needs
Wallace is overwhelmingly sweet-natured — but he has one important special need.
Because he can startle easily when picked up, or feel worried during certain handling situations (like at the vets or when putting on a harness), **he can occasionally have a momentary fear reaction and nip**.
This reflex lasts only a second — but it must be acknowledged to ensure he is safe and supported.
This is **the reason he was surrendered**, and it’s essential that his future family understands this.
With predictable routines, slow handling, and gentle reassurance, Wallace thrives.
He will do best in a home that:
• is **calm, patient, and experienced with sensitive dogs**
• understands **fear-based reactions** and can manage them safely
• avoids lifting unless necessary
• uses slow, positive introduction to harnessing and vet handling
• offers **kindness, stability, and reassurance**
