Meet Arthur, he will need a VERY EXPERIENCED HOME, PREFERABLY WITH GUARDIAN BREED EXPERIENCE.
Arthur is a wonderful, loyal dog who has been part of a family for the past five years, unfortunately for Arthur things have changed within the household and he can no longer be part of that family.
In the right environment, Arthur is the perfect house and garden companion - calm, well behaved, and devoted to his people. He absolutely thrives when he feels secure and knows his place.
Arthur is a natural guardian. He will protect his people and his home fiercely, so any new visitors need to be carefully managed, he must be crated or muzzled until he understands there is no threat. Outside of the home he can be reactive, which is why he is always walked on lead and with a muzzle.
He sees most people as a threat at first, unless they have a dog themselves, he then feels safe.
He can also be food protective, so a child free environment is essential.
Arthur deserves an experienced and confident owner who understands his needs and will continue the work the current family have put in with him. He would be best suited to a couple without children and in a rural or farm environment where he can have a more predictable life.
