Description
Ranger is a beautiful 7month old yellow Labrador, he was brought as to be an assistant dog to our son. He passed all his puppy classes but unfortunately can't continue with his training due to hitting a stumbling block. He is just too friendly, he can't focus when other people are around. He just wants to greet everyone and make friends. But for this reason he has failed his class so can not continue on as a trainee assistant dog. He would make a fabulous children's therapy dog though as he just loves attention! He is well socialized, trained to sit, stand, down, stay, wait, middle, touch, leave it and door. He's crate trained, house trained. Excellent recall, never strays far either. He hasn't got a bad bone in his body. He's used to and lived with horses, chickens, ducks, rabbits, sheep, guinea pigs, and pheasants. His favourite games are football, (he's a bit of a pro on the pitch) he loves tennis balls, footballs and cuddly toys, plus the odd sock may be nabbed out of the wash basket and carted to his bed. He is perfectly fine to be left alone sleeps the day away if your gone. But equally adores company and cuddles. He lives with children and is so gentle although he can forget his size of he's trying to squeeze on their lab for a cuddle. Mum and dad were both pedigree working dogs.
Ranger is extremely special and an excellent example of his breed, and if he could fulfill his job as an assistance dog and not be so easily distracted he would not be going anywhere. For this reason possible homes will be vetted and he will only go to the right home for him. Thank you for reading
