Expression of Interest – Standard Smooth Dachshund Litter | October 2026 **POA** We are delighted to announce our planned Standard Smooth Dachshund litter, due in October 2026, subject to pregnancy being confirmed by ultrasound. This carefully selected pairing is between our handsome black and tan male, Withywindles Naxos, and our beautiful silver dapple female, Darniedees Venus. Naxos is a well-structured black and tan male who has been successfully shown and is Crufts qualified. Venus is a beautiful silver dapple female, also successfully shown, with excellent structure and a lovely temperament. Both dogs are KC registered and health tested, with Venus PRA cord1, NCL1 and OI clear and eye tested clear. We are a higher-standard licensed breeder and our breeding programme is carefully planned with health, temperament, structure, breed type and showing in mind. Our puppies are raised in our home with extensive care, socialisation and preparation for life with their new families. We are looking for only the very best lifelong homes. All potential homes will be carefully vetted and must complete a comprehensive application form. If you are not prepared to complete an application and take part in our vetting process, please do not apply. At this stage, we are accepting expressions of interest only. Pregnancy will be confirmed by ultrasound before availability is confirmed. An expression of interest does not guarantee a puppy or constitute a reservation. Extremely affectionate and loyal little dogs

Cons

Not the best choice for first time owners because Dachshunds often have a mind of their own
Care must be taken with puppies because they must not be allowed to jump up or down from anywhere because it could damage their backs and joints
They are prone to putting on too much weight if not given enough daily exercise
