Description
Becca is a lovely Maine coon and Tabby mix cat with tons of love to give to that special someone (or someones) looking for a single-pet household cat. She absolutely loves to cuddle, snuggle, and has loud purrs. She's a big girl at 5kg with a lovely long tail and lots of fuzz.
Unfortunately, life has taken a difficult turn and family health must come first. Chronic illness, major surgeries -- and we can no longer keep Becca. But she is so deserving of a lovely family or even empty nesters that would love a fluffy companion.
Becca is nine years young, but definitely doesn't act like a senior. She is not extremely playful (she gets bored after a little while), but typically prefers to lounge on her person and relax. She has no known health conditions. As a kitten, she had severe coccidia, but I nursed her through that. She eats Pooch & Mutt Primal Salmon & Herring dry cat food without complaint, but is prone to hairballs -- so brushing is recommended as well as a raised food bowl to ensure she doesn't throw up her food (I will provide a bowl and bag of food). She doesn't like cat beds, but if you lay a blanket down or abandon your clothes on the floor or couch, she will live on it.
She does NOT cope well with other animals. She can exist in the space of other animals, but she is a harsh corrector and has been known to bully. Never humans! Just other cats and dogs. She's very social with other people and will happily greet anyone that might give her fuss.
She responds to Becca, Beccabutt, Monkeybutt, and Monkey.
IMPORTANT INFO:
Becca was brought with me from America! She's had a long trip and has been in the UK since March 2023 so I think she has the accent down!
Becca's vaccinations are not up to date but vaccination requirements were strict for cross-country travel. We can treat her for worms and fleas prior to collection, but she is a fully indoor cat. She was recently taken to the vets with no issues. Health test for parents unknown as she was an adopted stray.
