💔 Rescue Story
Some stories leave even the strongest hearts trembling — and Nicol’s is one of them.
One day, a man appeared at the gates of a small shelter, holding Nicol on a piece of rope. He asked them to take her in, but the shelter was already full — there was simply no space. When told no, he turned away in frustration and headed towards the railway tracks, muttering that he would throw her under a train.
The volunteers ran after him and managed to save her just in time. From that moment on, Nicol has shown nothing but love and gratitude. She throws her whole heart into life, as if she knows she was given a second chance — and she intends to make the most of it.
🐾 More About Nicol
Nicol is a beautiful dog with a radiant, loving personality. She is full of life and energy and forms strong bonds with her humans very quickly. She loves being close to people, enjoys company, and seeks reassurance through affection and interaction- she is very much companion dog, the one who lost her human once, doesn’t wish to loose again. In her new environment, Nicol is still adjusting to routines and currently finds house-training challenging.
She is food-motivated, keen to engage, and enthusiastic about learning, which gives her excellent potential with the right guidance. Nicol’s energy can sometimes overflow, and she is still learning calmer ways to greet people, as her excitement often comes out through affection and enthusiasm rather than restraint – very much typical for Labs.
What shines through above all is Nicol’s love for people. She wants to be involved, included, and connected — she gives her heart fully and openly.
🏡 Ideal Home
Nicol would thrive in an active home that enjoys exercise, engagement and companionship. She needs people who are around all or good part of the day and who understand that her energy and affection come from a place of love and insecurity rather than defiance. She needs someone happy to give her guidance and positive reinforcement/force free training regarding nice manners to greet and play with humans (we are happy to provide lot of training advice).
She would suit being the only dog or living with a confident, playful dog who matches her energy. A secure garden and a family willing to guide her gently through structure and routine will help Nicol blossom into the incredible companion she is meant to be.
💞 Nicol has survived the unthinkable and still greets the world with joy, love and hope. She has so much to give to the right home — laughter, affection, loyalty and endless enthusiasm.
