💖•Pudding is an 18 year old sweet natured skewbald gypsy cob mare, with a heart of gold and feathers to match! A gentle, loving and forgiving pony who will stand all day to be groomed and fussed. She has a lovely temperament and is easy to handle; she can have the odd day where she tries to be mare-ish but doesn’t quite manage it with someone who is as confident. She’s never nasty and has never bucked, reared or bolted. As she has been my first pony, finding the right home for her is really important to us as we want someone who will love her as much as we do.
âś…-Fully registered and passported-The Traditional Gypsy Cob Association.
✅•Easy to catch and lived with both mares and geldings.
✅•Good for the farrier, however unshod so only ever needs a quick trim.
âś…-Good for the dentist, bit fidgety when being clipped but can still get the job done.
✅•Lives out 24/7 but has been stabled in the past. Is a typical cob so is very hardy to the weather and has a great coat on her! Only rugged when the weather gets really bad.
âś…-Never sick, sorry or lame.
✅•Is a sturdy, bombproof, experienced hacking pony. Doesn’t flinch going past cars, trucks, caravans, tractors she has seen it all. Experienced in road hacking, bridleways and beach rides.
✅•Hacks alone or in company. Is a real confidence giver to younger or less experienced horses out hacking with her as she will often go past things first.
💖•She was my first pony and taught me everything that I needed to know over the last 4 and a half years. She’s a very truthful,reliable pony who brought me to where I am now with my confidence and knowledge with her.
💖•So many of our friends have enjoyed a ride on her, from the complete novice to our more experienced horsey friends.
💖•She’s more whoa than go; not always motivated to keep a fast going forward pace unless specifically and consistently asked to do so. Happy to walk, trot and canter (with good brakes) just does need the occasional encouragement.
💖•She has her stubborn ways occasionally but again is never nasty with it and just needs a confident nudge along to keep her rhythm going.
💖•Whether you’re tacking her up, leading her to the field, or managing her day-to-day care, she’s very laidback and does what you need her to do. Can be ridden several time a week or have a couple of weeks off and is still consistent.
💖•She would suit a confident novice (child or teenager perhaps looking for their first pony) or an older rider who is looking to enjoy the hacking lifestyle.
Jasper we rescued and he is a lovely boy. Great with our kids but has lots to learn. Pudding & Japser are very attached to each other so we would like them to a new home together. He is around 12hh.
