PeeWee is a lovely friendly parrot. I refer to PeeWee as he, but don't actually know what sex he is.
He's out of his cage all day and has his own "rope gym" in the back extension, which he loves, because he can see everything that's happening downstairs and in the garden, plus move around freely and explore.
He likes coming in the shower and has his own perch there, he has a wonder around in the bottom of the bath and is happy to be held under the shower whilst I'm in there. He then goes on his perch to dry off.
He comes out in the garden on a nice day, but Quaker Parrots should not be left in direct sun, so I find a dappled spot for him whilst I'm gardening.
He's just starting to talk and says a few words, but he's also started to squark a lot when my Chihuahuas yap. I've been warned by a couple of people with more experience in keeping parrots, that it won't be long before he starts barking, if he stays living with me. I really don't need anything else that barks 🤯 so sadly I'm looking to re-home him.
PeeWee will come with his cage and toys.
His wings had been clipped before I got him, which I wasn't made aware of. I personally don't agree with wing clipping and would prefer that his new family allow them to grow back.
