Description

Our lovely girl, Nel, is looking for a new home. She joined our family in May as a companion for our Labradoodle, but unfortunately there's a personality clash and it doesn't feel fair to either of them to push on with it any further. Nel is an enthusiastic, clever and energetic girl. Great on lead, curious about the world, crate trained & great in the car. She's confident and loves to play. Best suited for a home as the only dog, or with another energetic and playful dog. If you have a nervous/ quiet dog - she will just run them ragged (as we have learnt, the hard way). She has been raised in a family home with young children. She can still be a bit mouthy sometimes but is easily redirected with toys. She has never shown aggression or ill temper; she is a bit goofy & food orientated so has been easy to train. We have chickens, ducks and cats at home - it took us a good few weeks to train her not to chase the chickens,.so she doesn't do that anymore. But she does love to chase the cats if she sees them outside, but will stop if I catch her doing it. She's fine with other dogs, just very playful. We've been working on keeping focus when on walks and she's been doing well. She is very alert and notices everything around her. Doesn't bark when left alone. No separation anxiety. I work from home so she's always had someone around, so I would only feel comfortable rehoming her to someone who would have the time for her. She's never been alone more than a few hours here and there. This has been a difficult decision to make, but one we are making for the sake of our other dog, who is just too gentle and quiet for her big personality.
