Description

Regrettably and sadly we have come to the decision that we are looking to re-home our 3 year old female Patterdale terrier (Peggy). She is looking for a new home through no fault of her own, the main reason being we have two jack russell’s and a 13 year old lurcher who is now reaching the end of her life and we are struggling as a family to find time to give all dogs enough time and love, affection and attention for walks etc and Peggy the most is becoming bored and frustrated and has now began to try and assert dominance over the other dogs (we suspect as our old lurcher has always been the matriarch of the pack, Peggy can see and sense the decline in her health and is now trying to assert her dominance as pack leader). She has become aggressive towards her and they have all been separated. The jack russells and lurcher all live happily but sadly Peggy has now become a single family dog and deserves more attention than we can give. She is a fantastic little dog and amazing with all people especially our children. But I would strongly suggest not living with other dogs or small animals (ie cats, rabbits etc). We will not sell her for even £100,000 to the wrong home, but is free to the best home possible is all we want for her and is what she needs and deserves she’s a great little dog and makes a fantastic companion and family pet and is extremely loving and loyal and has been what’s made our decision so hard but we know it’s what’s best and what is needed we do not want it to end in tears and for our dogs to end up fighting and being injured or for them to live an unfulfilled life. We are in no rush to re-home her and we would be quite happy for anyone who is serious about her if they would like to trial her for a week or so before making any full time decisions and if she’s not 100% fit and match then we would gladly take her back.
