Nora is a young girl, born around July 2024. She was rescued from a āpublic (kill) poundā and brought to safety in a private shelter. Despite her difficult start, she has blossomed into a sweet, affectionate and always cheerful little soul ā the kind of dog who makes life brighter just by being there.

š Height: approx. 50 cm (can be measured on request)
š· Type: based on appearance, likely a mix with Flatcoated Retriever influence, combined with smaller local breeds, giving her a lighter build and very manageable size.
Looks & charm
Nora is a striking young dog with her glossy black coat, gentle expression and soulful eyes. Her medium build makes her ideal for families who love the retriever type but prefer a more compact size. She has that classic retriever charm: warm, approachable, and simply beautiful to look at.
Character
Nora is a friendly, affectionate and social girl. She gets along very well with other dogs and radiates happiness wherever she goes. Typical of Flatcoated Retriever influence, she loves companionship ā she thrives best when she is included in family life and not left on her own for long hours. She will undoubtedly enjoy walks, fun activities and simply spending time with her humans, but she can also settle nicely for a cuddle and some quiet moments.
Ideal home
For Nora we are looking for adopters who can give her both love and structure:
A secure, dog-proof garden where she can safely play and explore.
A family or person who enjoys walks, fun and involvement with their dog.
People who understand that she will be happiest with company, either human or a doggy friend, rather than being left alone for long days. Friends InDeed is a registered Charity.
Home-Check (even done online, at times) is compulsory.
We do NOT supply dogs to non-genuine Dog-Loving people. There are a lot of monsters out there ; canāt be too careful !
You must have your own garden and no children under 10 years old to adopt a dog from our rescue.
Should you adopt a rescue dog from us - you agree to offer her/him good care and affection ! You will also agree to keep in touch with us - so we can help with any issues.
Our preferred method of contact is over the phone or WhatsApp - as we work during the day, with limited access to emails ; it is also more expedient - we can exchange more information in one go.
We are a 100% genuine and transparent Rescue and are doing substantial efforts to save these lives. We reserve the right to ask any / different price / donation for our rescue dogs or cats - depending on circumstances. In most cases, we are hardly covering the costs !
We keep in touch with absolutely all adopters (over 500 families, so far). On request, we can obtain & provide good references from any of them.
