Description

Stella is a 17 month old Rottweiler x German shepherd We got Stella at seven months old and she had not been socialised or even left her garden. She has made a lot of progress however our lifestyle does not suit her needs and we believe this is causing her unnecessary stress. - Stella is very affectionate and loyal, she is calm for her age - Stella is fully vaccinated and is up to date on her flea and worm tablets - Stella is not spayed (this was planned but had to be cancelled due to her going into season) - Stella is good with dogs she knows well - She is fine with children but has not lived with any - Stella is keen to learn and picks up commands well - Stella walks to heel and has excellent recall - Stella is crate trained and can be left alone for a few hours - Stella travels well in the car - Stella is well trained and obedient - she knows sit, down, spin, touch, paw, legs, heel, drop, leave, wait, recall, bed, crate, “look at me,” and responds to marker words (yes, good, break) - Stella is ecollar trained Stella can be reactive to other dogs, including the noise of barking. She can bark and lunge at dogs but has not actually hurt another animal. We have worked with a trainer and believe that her reactivity is due to fear rather than aggression. Stella has lived with another dog and gets on well with dogs that she knows. Ideally, we would want Stella to go to someone experienced with reactive dogs, preferably in a quieter area. She will come with her bed, lead, food, and bowls. We are asking for a rehoming fee to ensure that Stella goes to someone genuinely committed to her. We are open to having a conversation about her reactivity, training, and any other questions.
