Description
🐾 Luna – a gentle Labrador-type soul waiting for her calm, loving home 🐾
📅 Estimated date of birth: 1 January 2021
📏 Height: approx. ±45 cm (can be measured precisely upon request)
⚖️ Weight: around 20 kg
🏷 Type: She clearly shows Labrador traits, but is mixed with some smaller local breeds – giving her a lighter build, more compact size and that tender, expressive face.
Her story:
Luna was rescued from a public shelter/kill station where her life was hanging by a thread.
It was a chaotic, overcrowded place – filled with barking and fear – and this tender girl was deeply affected by it. She spent most of her time hiding in her wooden kennel, too overwhelmed to step outside.
When she was finally rescued and brought to safety, her true nature slowly began to show: Luna is a gentle, sensitive soul, cautious at first, but longing to trust. Once she knows you, she shows her affectionate side – soft, loyal and full of quiet gratitude.
Character:
Luna has a calm and serene energy. She’s not a dog who seeks the spotlight – she blossoms in the presence of kind, gentle people who understand that trust takes time.
She doesn’t need much to be happy: a warm bed, regular meals, and above all, patience and affection.
With other dogs, Luna is friendly and kind. A calm, balanced companion dog could be a great source of comfort for her, but it’s not essential as long as her humans give her enough warmth and attention.
What truly matters is that she can be herself – no pressure, no expectations – just love and understanding.
Ideal home:
Luna would thrive in a peaceful home, surrounded by people who have a soft heart and a calm presence.
A secure, dog-proof garden with high fencing and safe gates is essential – a place where she can safely enjoy being outdoors, take her time to explore, and gently practice with her new adopters how to wear a proper anti-escape harness and get used to the lead.
In the beginning, Luna will feel most comfortable spending time in the garden on her own terms, discovering her surroundings at her own pace.
Once she and her people are used to each other and she feels confident, they can start enjoying beautiful walks together.
She’s not a high-energy dog – more the kind of companion who quietly stays by your side, bringing warmth and serenity to your home.
✨ Luna is a gentle, sensitive girl who has been through a lot, but her heart remains open.
With love, patience and kindness, she’ll bloom into the most loyal friend you could wish for.
CONTACT:
Friends InDeed is a registered charity. A home check (sometimes online) is required before adoption.
We do not place our dogs with people who don’t genuinely love animals – too many lives depend on us, and we simply cannot take risks.
To adopt Luna, you must have your own garden and no children under 10 years old.
We do not offer working dogs, therapy dogs or assistance dogs – no matter how noble the purpose.
If you adopt Luna, she will live as a beloved family member, cared for and cherished as she deserves.
You also agree to stay in touch with us so that we can support you with any questions or challenges.
We prefer to communicate via phone or WhatsApp, as we both work during the day and have limited access to email. It’s also much easier – we can share all necessary information in one go.
If you wish, we can arrange a video call so you can see Luna live before meeting her in person.
We are a 100% genuine and transparent rescue, fully dedicated to saving lives.
We are actively involved in sterilisation campaigns for stray dogs and in finding loving forever homes.
We reserve the right to adjust the adoption contribution depending on individual circumstances.
We keep in touch with all our adopters – now more than 500 families – and can provide excellent references on request.
⚠️ Please note: we receive many irrelevant messages and calls.
We kindly ask – no time wasters, please.
Thank you for your understanding and compassion.
Warm regards,
Adrian & Maria
