Description
We have been lucky to share our home with these six gorgeous male rats, the oldest for over a year and the youngest for 4 months. They have been excellent companions and we adore them, but we have come to the sad decision that we don't have the time to give to them with both of us in full-time work. While they have always been very well fed and well cared for, they deserve someone who can spend lots of free roam time with them every day. We would like them to go together as they have an established hierarchy and believe it would be disruptive to separate them. However, they are all very friendly with other rats and may well be able to join a larger mischief. The rats available are: Maurice (white with cream patches, the oldest at 2 yrs, very sweet) Rizley (grey rex, almost 2 yrs old, food hoarder, menace, adorable) Aethelrat (petal eared brown and white, gentle natured, a little shy, 1 yr old) Penda (brown and white, food obsessed, 1 yr old) Teddy (brown rex, escape artist, fits through the bars on a normal cage, HATES handling, 6 months old) Louis (shyest of all, not typically seen in the open, likes to be at the very bottom of the cuddle pile, 6 months old) Because Teddy is an escape artist, we would prefer they go to a home either without cats or dogs or with a secure closed room which can be for rats only. Alternatively you may have the ideal cage set up in mind to defeat escape attempts, which is fine! One of the wheels on their cage is broken, but if wanted you are welcome to have it. Understandably, you may prefer one with a working wheel for easier movement! We can provide a transport cage. I am only asking this price for them to avoid unscrupulous adopters. I am not trying to make a profit off these little guys. They just deserve more time than we can give them. I will take offers for the right home but I will ask for lots of evidence beforehand!
