Melanie went into foster in Oxfordshire on 1st September 2025.
Here is what Melanie's foster Mum has to say about her:
Melanie is adorable, she is a really affectionate little girl. She loves attention, cuddles and having her tummy stroked.
She loves her walks and walks really well on the lead.
She could be homed as an only dog, or with another confident dog.
She really will change the life of a lucky person or family, as she is such a joy to have.
Her Story
Little Melanie was heartlessly dumped by the side of the road. Some kind people selling watermelons nearby offered her food and water, but even though she was painfully skinny, she didn’t touch it. Instead, she just kept staring down the road, waiting for the car that had abandoned her—hoping her owners would come back.
When we found her, she also had several nasty dog bites that needed urgent treatment.
