Ruby is a 2–3 year old Collie x Saluki type. She is medium in size. Would love another dog or dogs in her home, and a very SECURE garden, or an apartment home where she would need to be exercised regularly whilst wearing a harness and lead. Ideally, she’d like a home in a rural area.
She has been in foster care over the summer, and has blossomed into one of the loveliest dogs you’ll ever meet. Think gentle, calm, and quietly affectionate… with the occasional burst of “zoomies” and silliness that will have you laughing out loud.
HER STRENGTHS:
• Neutered, vaccinated, wormed, health tested etc. (basically, the full MOT).
• Walks beautifully on the lead (you’ll look like a pro trainer without even trying)
• Loves all dogs, big and small, and just wants to play.
• Eats anything, no allergies, and takes treats as gently as a polite tea guest.
• Crate trained, never chews things she shouldn’t, and adores cuddles.
• Lets you brush her, clean her teeth, and even check her ears and paws (she’s practically a spa dog).
• Enjoys toys, chews, and a good squirrel chase (she says it’s cardio).
Ruby has never shown aggression, and her loving personality shines through in everything she does. She can be a little shy at first, but once she trusts you, you’ll have a gentle shadow who wants nothing more than to love and be loved.
HER QUIRKS:
• She’s a bit of an escape artist (think Houdini with paws), so an extremely secure garden or apartment is a must.
• She takes squirrel patrol very seriously, hence why she is so keen to scale your fences.
HER DREAM HOME:
Ruby would thrive with another friendly dog for company and in a patient, understanding home that will give her time to settle and relax. Once she feels safe, she’ll reward you with loyalty, love, and plenty of cuddly moments.
