Gera’s story is one of the deepest betrayal a dog can know.
She once trusted humans completely. She followed them. Believed them. Loved them. And for that trust, she was punished.
When Gera was no longer wanted, she wasn’t just abandoned—she was betrayed. She was taken to a kill compound, handed over to be euthanised, her life reduced to a number and a timetable. No goodbye. No mercy. Just a cold decision that her life was no longer worth keeping.
Gera waited behind bars, confused and terrified, sensing that something was terribly wrong. Surrounded by fear, noise, and despair, she was only minutes away from death.
And then—at the very last moment—everything changed.
Volunteers intervened just in time. Papers were stopped. Doors were opened. Gera was pulled back from the edge of death and carried out alive. What should have been her final moments became the beginning of her second chance. 🤍
Despite the unimaginable betrayal she endured, Gera did not turn aggressive or broken. Instead, she held on. She chose to survive. She chose to trust again—slowly, carefully, bravely.
Today, Gera is safe. But her eyes still carry the memory of how close she came to never existing at all.

If everything is agreed, the adoption paperwork will be completed on the day, and you will be able to take your dog home immediately.
