Description

Flynn is a pointer x lab who has had a tough time. He is currently in the UK, in kennels in Kirkcaldy (Scotland). He's been adopted twice since being in 2nd Chance's care but neither have worked out. The first home had him for a few years, but had a change in circumstances when growing their family. The second home had him for 8 months but found that he had built a strong relationship to the adopter who was at home all the time and had moments of worry/ conflict around the other adopter. unfortunately, some body language signals from Flynn were misunderstood by the adopters (such as thinking he wanted a belly rub, when he was requesting space). Which probably led to Flynn feeling untrusting at times. Flynn has been very well loved by his previous families but he'd really love to find a forever home. Flynn can find some things a bit worrying sometimes, such as vet visits or some new people. He might deal with this by becoming a bit OTT and has previously nibbled/ mouthed on the strangers clothing. Flynn has had a few snaps towards people (mostly towards the more absent partner in the most recent home), but has never caused damage (warning, distance increasing snaps). Flynn is very cuddly and loving and gets a lot of joy from just being with his human friends. He loves to play with, and nibble on his toys and is not destructive with them. He is more social with female dogs, typically casually avoids males or vocal dogs. He travels well in the car. Due to his insecurities, Flynn will need an adult only home, without any children or other pets. Be assured that 2nd Chance Dogs works with a fully qualified UK Behaviourist, to give you the best advice in settling Flynn in and being successful in adopting him. Please don't hesitate to ask us any questions about him.
