Meet Gromit
Gromit was returned to us his breeder as they were having problems with his behaviour indoors which was just simply he hadn't been given clear boundries and once i showed him he got it quick and is such a good boy and no bother.
The other reason he was returned is they said he is aggressive to strangers and would be fine one moment the bit the next with hardly any warning, well he has been with us for 6 months and such a good lad now, regarding strangers i think at some point someone has hurt him or something as he greets everyone with plenty of fussing but then when people get to much he learned to snap to get them away, i have come down hard on him when he is aggressive as i won't have aggression but i needed to understand why he did it and it was when people got to much with him and i've showed him another way to deal with what he finds uncomfortable and that is he walks away and comes back to me and this has worked wonders, he now greets people more relaxed and knows if it gets to much he comes back to me.
All this ive done while he is muzzled and on the lead and he is responding fantastic, Gromit is the most loving gentle soft boy and when he snaps it's not from aggression from him and just a snap to get you away and not because he wants to hurt you.
Gromit has no food, bone or toy aggression and loves his family so much and never shows aggression to his family, i have also found that when Gromit feels scared or threatend is the only time he snaps, even at the vets he's been so good with only a growl if not sure but once i say enough he stops'
I'm looking for a new home for Gromit , he needs a experienced owner who keeps him in check as he can be a bit of a jack the lad, he's a confident boy but he needs a owner who understands and accepts him in that he just wants his family and not lots of visitors as they make him unsure.
I will be very picky who he goes to and i WILL expect a good few visits for him to feel safe with you and that i know your the right home for him.
I will be very straight with you and if i feel your not right for him then you wont have him, ive had him here for 6 months so i could understand him and work on his aggression with stangers, Gromit won't go to a home with young children and possibly older children too/
Gromit is KC registered fully vaccinated and comes from health tested lines.
