Description
I am advertising on behalf of my lovely, charitable neighbour who is in need of help rehoming them. They are a litter of 6 kittens (all females!) from either a lost or stray mother cat. They are exactly 8 weeks old today and while they are technically ready to be rehomed, we would like them to stay with mum for another 2 weeks (Vets advice!) They are the sweetest, playful, curious little kittens and have been looked after well.
They have been weaned off mum, eating wet kitten food and all litter trained. They have had their first worming treatment but have not yet been treated for fleas (but they are kept strictly indoors) and are also unvaccinated. As much as we want to vaccinate them ourselves, it is a massive expense for us since there are 6 of them and we are hoping that whoever purchases/adopts would be happy to get them vaccinated & flea treated asap.. and then eventually neutered when at the appropriate age (so important!!)
The mother: she visited my neighbours garden often, he fed her but was unaware that she was pregnant until she gave birth in his home. We are unsure if she was previously owned or a stray however she seems to be very healthy and my neighbour has looked after her well. Mum is a calm, sweet, loving cat. She has also been kept strictly indoors since she gave birth. We plan to get mum vaccinated, neutered etc now that the kittens have been weaned off from mum.
We are hoping that the kittens go to calm, loving and caring homes. We plan to look for adopters ourselves and hopefully be able to get them all rehomed soon, but long term if any left we may eventually have to take them to a shelter due to circumstances. I would say they are used to a calm, quiet environment as my neighbour lives alone. A few kittens are more confident than others, but we are sure they would be happy around other cats and adjust (I dont feel that they would adjust well to a home with a dog though).
