Revali is a standard Angora born 28/01/23 and Tulin is a sapphire born 15/02/23. I purchased them already bonded from their breeder on 11/06/23. They are lovely boys, Tulin is the easier one to handle out of the two, Revali is quick but can be tempted over with a treat! They are currently eating Science Selective chinchilla and were most unimpressed when I tried to change food a few months ago so we changed back. They are litter trained for wees and very clean.
They currently live in a Savic Royal Plaza XL which is about 8 years old as I also used it for my previous chinchilla but still in great condition, no issues at all with door locks or stability. Wooden ledges were replaced when these boys moved in and I have about 3 sets of made-to-measure fleece liners for the plastic floors. Also included is a spare solid floor so the two levels could be separated for recovery from illness or if they started fighting (unlikely as they are very close). There are two glass litter trays and a ceramic hay holder with two hay bags and two glass water bottles as well as ceramic food bowls. They have three cooling tiles in different places in the cage.
The supplies they will come with include:
A treat box full of chinchilla safe treats (marshmallow root, dandelion roots, bee pollen, nettles, hibiscus, chinchilla cookies from Paula’s bespoke cookies and other flower mixes) and refills
15kg bag of Timothy hay (very green and good quality)
Container for litter and an unopened bag (Back-2-nature paper pellets)
Sand bath and one and a half bags of dust
Containers for food and toys/treat refills
Large plastic container for hay that fits on top of the cage so you can keep the big bag somewhere else and just get out what you need
Pet carrier for transporting
Small box of pear tree sticks
Box of Science Selective hay sticks
Large wooden wheel which came from the breeder, too large for the cage but ok for out of cage playtime
Genuine reasons forces very sad sale, these boys need someone who can spend more time with them and I unfortunately have more commitments now than I used to.
Cage cost £300 and chins cost £400 from the breeder, together with all the supplies I am asking £400 for everything you need for them and supplies for the next few months. Revali and Tulin can be rehomed without the cage and supplies if you already have everything but I would need to see proof of setup - they’re used to the finer things in life and lots of space and I don’t want that to change.
Although this sale is perfect for a first-time chinchilla owner I would need you to have done some research or at least have a chat beforehand as although these are clean and quiet pets they have some specific care needs which need to be met to keep them happy, healthy and safe.
