Description

This is an incredibly hard decision for us and hasn’t been taken lightly. Unfortunately she has severe separation anxiety. She isn’t necessarily attached to us leaving her, she just does not like to be left alone. We thought another dog for company would help but it hasn’t. She doesn’t care who is in the house, as long as she knows she’s not alone. When she is left she will bark and pace continuously until you are home. Unfortunately for us having 2 young children and both working we just feel she would be happier in either a working home or with a retiree or someone who works from Home. This is devastating as we’re all very bonded with her but it’s unfair for her to be this stressed everytime we leave. Saying this, when someone is home she doesn’t make a sound. Luna is great dog, she is good with other dogs (currently lives with a border collie), she is good with children, currently lives with 2 boisterous boys aged 2 and 5 and has never even shown an inkling of aggression. If they are too much she will take herself away. She also lives with a cat and just plays with him. She is good on walks, her recall is good but she is a typical adolescent pup and doesn’t like to come back when she knows you’re going back home. She has achieved a bronze and dog classes and is so eager to learn, she currently knows commands such as sit, lay down, stay, bed, paw etc. she is fully toilet trained and signals to go out by bells at the door. She is also crate trained and sleeps in a crate over night happily. She is up to date with her flea and wormer and vaccinations. She has currently just come into her first season. We will not be letting Luna go to any home, and we will want to go and see where Luna will be going to live if she is rehomed.
