Deacon is a beautiful male Bull Lurcher looking for his forever home. Deacon is a very sweet and laid back dog 90% of the time, but he does have his quirks. He can be reactive on lead to other dogs and has a history of redirecting when this happens. For this reason he is comfortably muzzled trained for walks in public spaces, and his reactivity is no issue when handled confidently. Deacon had issues living in his previous home and we feel domestic life might not suit him best. He used to race regularly for fun with his previous owners, which is when he truly thrived. Ideally, he needs someone who can focus their time and attention on providing the outlet he desperately needs to be a happy and content dog. Deacon requires an adult-only, pet-free home. Deacon walks nicely on a lead and has trained with us extensively, but he isn't being sold as a fully trained dog. As part of the adoption process, we can show his new owner what training he knows.
