We at Golden Wings Aviaries have an incredibly rare opportunity to offer.
We have 6 Montezuma/Mearns Quail hatching eggs available to purchase. These birds are super rare in the UK with very limited numbers of birds/eggs available.
Currently I have 1 trio laying. More eggs may become available depending on how the girls lay. These eggs are only available due to our incubator already being used with Mearns babies expected to hatch on the 1st June. Their bloodline is from the Netherlands.
Due to the delicate nature and rarity of the eggs, it is advised that collection of eggs is done in person to increase viability. As such, I unfortunately cannot make any guarantees if you opt for ****** although I will do my very best to package the eggs as best as I can.
New hatchling Montezuma/Mearns quail require their human to teach them where their food and water is. In the wild, their parents would show them but when artificially incubated they do need 1 to 1 attention for their first week of life.
To add further support to your new hatched Mearns quail, for each egg purchased, I will include 1 celadon Japanese coturnix quail egg to your order. Staggering incubation so that both species hatch together, will create a buddy system to help teach your Mearns quail the basics while you're unavailable. However, this is optional and you can opt out if you wish.
Research on this species is crucial for maximising your chances of viability and healthy chicks and I only recommend well known and trusted incubators for these eggs.
Price is £40 PER EGG or £35 PER EGG when purchasing 6 or more.
